Pinge Terms
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to Pinge, an unofficial mobile app for following, saving, and playing matches inspired by the Gioco del Ponte of Pisa. By creating an account or using Pinge, the user accepts these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Unofficial App
Pinge is not an official app of the Gioco del Ponte, the Comune di Pisa, any magistracy, or any event organizer. The Gioco del Ponte, its historical meaning, faction names, magistracy names, symbols, and traditions belong to Pisa's cultural heritage. Pinge represents those elements for play, learning, and entertainment.
Accounts
Creating an account through Pinge creates one GiochiStorici account that is intended to work across separate GiochiStorici applications. Pinge is currently the only application using it. Deleting the account from Pinge deletes the entire GiochiStorici account and associated data from every GiochiStorici application, subject only to information that must be retained by law or for security.
Users must provide accurate registration information and keep account access secure. Users must use their own account and must not attempt to access another user's account, saves, invites, match history, or profile data.
Pinge is a general-audience game app. Users who are below the age required by their local law to manage an online account should use Pinge only with a parent or guardian. Only the latest active session remains authorized after login. Older, signed-out, or deleted sessions are denied authenticated database actions.
Acceptable Use
Users must not cheat, manipulate, or interfere with Online matches; abuse invite codes, realtime synchronization, or account systems; bypass authentication, authorization, row-level security, or update requirements; reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, overload, or attack the app or backend except where mandatory law permits; upload or share unlawful, offensive, abusive, defamatory, or infringing content if future features allow user-generated content; or impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation with official Gioco del Ponte institutions.
Pinge may close expired invites, block incompatible app versions, remove data required for security, or delete accounts when required by user request, security needs, or legal obligations.
Online Matches
Online matches depend on network connectivity, Supabase services, device availability, and both players using compatible app versions. Temporary invites can expire, be closed, or be removed by the cleanup routine. If a user deletes their account, online history may remain visible to the other player with the deleted user's name replaced by DeletedUser.
Pinge does not guarantee uninterrupted Online availability, realtime delivery, invite delivery, or permanent storage of temporary live game state.
Saved Games
Saved games are in-progress snapshots scoped to the signed-in user. The app keeps a local cached copy for offline restore and synchronizes saved games with Supabase so they can survive reinstalling the app or using another device with the same account.
Saved games are not authoritative public records. They can be removed if the user deletes the saved game, deletes the account, or if service or storage failures occur. Local cached copies can be lost if device data is cleared or the app is uninstalled.
Intellectual Property
Pinge's app code, user interface, original design, compiled application, documentation, and original assets are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws unless a file explicitly says otherwise. Users receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use Pinge for lawful personal use.
The Gioco del Ponte cultural references, names, and traditions remain associated with Pisa's historical and cultural heritage. Pinge does not claim official ownership of those cultural elements.
Third-Party Services
Pinge uses third-party services such as Supabase, Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, app stores, and public legal-page hosting. Those services may apply their own terms and policies. The user must comply with applicable third-party terms when using those services through Pinge.
Privacy
Pinge's Privacy Policy explains what data is processed, why it is processed, retention periods, rights, and contact details. The Privacy Policy is separate from these Terms and Conditions and remains publicly accessible for app-store review and user access.
Changes And Updates
Pinge may change features, compatibility requirements, or these terms over time. Some updates may be required to keep using Online features or Supabase-backed features. If an app version becomes incompatible with the backend, Pinge may show an update-required message and block the affected feature until the user installs a compatible version.
Disclaimer
Pinge is provided for entertainment, educational, and match-tracking purposes. It is provided as is and as available to the maximum extent permitted by law. Pinge does not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinge and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of saved games, service interruption, device issues, or third-party service failures. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Italy, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in the user's country require otherwise.
